Sunday, February 1, 2015 - A wonderful wine. At first, it looked a tad bit brown in color, at the edges. But that quickly disappeared to reveal a lovely, clear, sparkling ruby red. A light nose of violets and dark fruit. Terrific on the palate, with excellent structure. Most of the impact is on mid-palate, again with dark fruit (cherries), some wood and a dash of spice. Really fun. We had it with pizza. A real treat and classic Cotes-du-Rhone. Only wish I'd bought a case.
The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is moderate sediment in the bottle.
