Saturday, September 19, 2020 - I am considering a higher score depending upon how this continues to evolve. Open 2.5 hours. The stank reminded me of Cleveland Brown’s line “close the window. You are letting all the stank out”. Very assertive and not one’s first choice for burgundy. Tastes much better than the original nose. Dark fruit, first floor, shiitake mushrooms, earthy, spicy, iodine dominate. Great richness on the mouth, dark plums, blackberries, herbs. The wine has great length.
