Wednesday, January 6, 2016 - Still so young. Ripe dark fruit, damp dark earth, pencil shavings and a shade of dry tobacco. Still a bit of not unappealing greenness to this wine that is beginning to transition into white pepper and spice. Shows in the nose as light white pepper currently, and on the palate as a touch of basil. Smooth in the mouth with fine tannins. Consumed with venison. 2 hour decant. 93+
