Where do I start, the 2004 Domaine des Comtes Lafon Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières is utmost brilliance in a bottle. Bright gold in colour with a nose of pineapples with fresh slight butteriness. There's also layers of sweet nectar and minerality.

Ver round on the palate with fresh tropical fruits (pineapples predominantly), pears, and slight, gentle buttery notes. Acidity and alcohol are both well balanced, beautifully delicious. Explodes on the entry and drawing in with a laser-like focus on the mid palate. Drinking well now, but indeed so many years ahead on this one. Superb long mineral finish. A very refined wine with lots of character. Yes, yes, yes.
