Wednesday, April 6, 2016 - Dull, flaccid. Lacking in acidity. It had some alluring buttery citrus notes, tropical fruits and a hint of truffle on the nose, but was unfocused on the palate. Possibly heat damage, or storage issues or a victim of the vintage? Probably not faulty, just underwhelming and disappointing. The foie gras did it no favours and tended to show up its shortcomings.
