Friday, December 31, 2021 - Last of 6-375ml bottles purchased from the Last Bottle back in 2015. I think the adage of “the sum being greater than the total of the component parts” applies here, with the addition of the Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend enhancing color, structure, and body. Drinking at peak at twelve years: dried black and red fruits; licorice; old cigar tobacco; stale dark chocolate; taut leather; and crusty, dried loam. Although the fruits are mostly mature, there’s still considerable tannin and acidity keeping this fresh. Ends long. Drink now, unlikely to improve; however, this should drink well for another 1-2 years. Would purchase again.
