Sunday, June 28, 2015 - Getting better with each year in the bottle, and definitely longer lasting than I initially expected. It needs at least three hours to blow off the HUGE funk upon the initial open (which wasn't there in '13) and is great on day two. Once the brett blows off enjoy the funky garringue, blackberry bramble reduction and the rich blood sausage. The tannins are going so so soft and the fruit wonderfully rises as the bottle opens up. I thought that the light acids would hurt its future, but I think it has another 6-8 years easy before it starts to wind down. Had it with grilled rack of lamb, and oh wow, was it ever gorgeous. With this meal it was at least a 97.
