Monday, August 25, 2014 - From a bottle with a good cork, base neck fill, cork came out very soft with no "pop". Like other 85s I've had recently, disappointing. On first pour the nose bursts with florals and chocolate and dark berry fruit. The nose stays interesting, showing some caramel and cedar and chocolate. But on the palate the fruit has faded and while the tannins are rich and soft, the acidity is poking out on the back end. Food didn't help, and it went downhill with air.
