Thursday, October 9, 2014 - Tasted with three other 2010 Reynvaan syrahs, their 2011 cab, two 2009 No Girls, and five Cayuse. Of the five Reynvaan wines, this was my favorite. They all share similar characteristics, but this was darker, more opaque, more aromatic, more complex, more concentrated, and more lingering than the others. It had a similar Rhone style of smoke, roasted meat, earth, leather, and mushrooms, with perfect balance, some elegance without being too heavy or alcoholic. Reminds me of La Landonne. Perfectly enjoyable, but will last for many years. One of the favorites of the evening, along with Bionic Frog and God Only Knows.
