Monday, October 6, 2014 - Ok, so I don't even know how to rate wine this good. Ripe blackberries, touch of licorice, leather, all kinds of depth, smooth, way too easy to drink, silky tannins, a bit shorter finish than I expected but absolutely lovely. I realize there are many folks who get to have wine of this stature regularly, but I'm not one of them. Which is to say that I am sure there are subtle flaws I am missing, but I really, really enjoyed this wine. It is hard for me to imagine it being this good or better in another 7 years, but I trust those with more experience than I to opine that. It was wonderful. Very special for us, and a lovely gift from a friend.
