Sunday, October 25, 2015 - We sipped with Mark et al of Kerry Wines at The Hong Kong Golf Open! Cheers, matey, a hole in one!!!
Luvly light red colour on the eye. Outstanding aromas of toasty oak, spices, a touch of leather, slightly meaty, chocolate and espresso. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert all in one nose. Medium-bodied, fairly simple palate with subtle tannins. Perhaps too young? Or not enough breathing? The aromas are so commanding that we think the palate is overwhelmed. Not necessarily a bad thing, but the nose geared us up while the palate brought us back to reality...albeit a very nice landing in a voluptuous venue! Think Beyonce on the nose, slightly bigger Bruno Mars on the palate...
