Thursday, May 7, 2020 - Mid cherry red with a brick red rim. Lifted, heady aromas of wet earth, star anise, overripe banana skin, incense, nutmeg and toasted cinnamon seeds on the nose. Remarkably light to medium-bodied with excellent softness in the mid-palate, rich but deft and light on its feet given the fresh, bright acidity that cuts across the evocative range of flavours: withered raspberry, preserved strawberries, prune, light soy sauce, dried red cherries, ripe banana, spice and coconut. Tannins are resolved, light and fluffy! This is a wine that has an irresistible charm that seems to go on and on.
