90 Points

Tuesday, October 11, 2016 - A big change for the better from a mere 8 months ago. The bouquet has jumped to life with penetrating cherry kirsch and flowers, buttressed with mulch and loam, some Asian spice and pipe tobacco. By gosh, it's quite Bordeaux-like. Perfectly weighted and agile, it sits fully across the tongue and then generates pleasing esters throughout the mouth and olfactory receptors. Not deeply layered, but enough nuance and tertiary notes to lend interest. Just hitting it's stride and can probably sail at this level for several more years. 4+12+16+8 = 90
