Thursday, April 17, 2014 - This was a little lighter and more delicate than I expected. Notes of creamy lemon meringue were prominent with some more subtle notes of baked lemons and golden apple on the finish. The acidity was pretty good and so was the bead. I was hoping for a little more depth and minerality but that was not based on a history with this wine. It is still a good Franciacorta, 87 - 88.
