excellent. more tannic and serious than earlier bottles.
nose of blackcurrant, bitter black chocolate, forest floor and violets.
velvety textured body with youthful spicy tannins. more than average acidity but just fine for this stage. big black fruit upfront with dense cocoa and soy sauce following suit. black olive, prune, and leather add to the savory concentrated palate. mushroom and leafy black cherry carry through a long meaty finish.
young but drinkable. great depth and concentration with a good balance of black fruit and old world characteristics. awesome QPR for cellar worthy 09 bordeaux.
