90 Points

Saturday, August 18, 2012 - Rich, smooth, powerful, and very fruit-forward, with plenty of well-integrated oak reinforcing and sweetening the fruit flavours. Raspberry is the dominant flavour, with notes of plum and black spice (clove, star anise). Decanting softens the wine, but releases even darker flavours (coffee, kola, red liquorice). A good combination of strength and smoothness, with the potential to develop complexity with age.
