Wednesday, March 12, 2014 - Once I recovered from the odd closure (a "zork"?), greeted by a clear, dark ruby color. On the nose, oak, vanilla (from the oak), and big black, red fruits. Was uncertain how I would respond, frankly. But in my glass, slightly spicy (Syrah?), nice fruit and acid balance, tannins not as rough as anticipated - really softened and became even more lovely over time, moderate-long finish. Very drinkable, nice layers to the mix. Would definitely purchase again.
