Friday, November 21, 2003 - Tasted in double-blind fashion at Vintage Wines, Ltd. Bottle provided by John Person. Bright disc. Opaque purple robe with purple rim. Clean nose, with moderately intense aromas of kirsch, vanilla, cedar, pencil shavings and toasted oak. Full-bodied on the palate, with huge coarse tannins and similar flavors as for the nose. Long, dry finish. This wine needs time for the tannins to settle down...I just hope that they settle down before the fruit dries out.
