The Duras and Braucol grapes gives this the distinctive tang of this producer but the peppery notes stick out just a touch too much. Notes of orange peel, iron, pepper and lighter fruits such as strawberry, cherries - then cut through with a dash of Syrah. Very interesting wine. A steal at 7 euros. I think it needs more time. And I still prefer the even cheaper, but excellent, Cuvee des Drilles from the same producer.
