Tuesday, January 1, 2008 - Impressive wine but getting past prime, would recommend drinking holdings soon. 3 bottles opened for New Year's Eve, first corked but other two in excellent shape. Decanted for about 4 hours and enjoyed with prime rib and grilled lamb. Significant improvement with decanting, tannins and brett disappear. Very smooth, balanced nose, subtle black fruit with earth tones and some tar, some hint of pepper on palate in aftertaste.
