Sunday, January 17, 2010 - Picked up this bottle on my honeymoon in 1999, so a special bottle to enjoy after 10+ years. Was concerned it wouldn't be that great based on the few ratings there are, and other reviews, but was very happy with what developed. Opened and decanted for 3 hours before tasting. Well balanced wine with developed tannins that are ever so slightly present. Nose and flavors of boysenberries, currants, slight earth and touch of vanilla and oak. Pleasant finish that makes you want to keep drinking more. Paired well with a sweet red pepper and lentil soup, and was great on it's own as well. Happy 10 years!
