Friday, May 1, 2009 - Garnet in the glass with a tawny rim. Strong nose of truffle, cooked peppers, cassis, and spice. Powerful flavor of elegant blackberry, cassis, and smoky vanilla with mineral/earthy tannins. Tasty. The tannins dominate still, with moderate acidity balancing a moderate to full body. Good balance, long finish.

Drink through 2020.
