Sunday, December 23, 2001 - Sunday, December 23, 2001 Color of purple turning to garnet on the rim. Nose of cloves, barnyard, brambles and pepper. A hot wine. Like the Paret St. Joseph, it needs time to integrate and come together. Again, this is a wine that needs food. Dusty dry. Flavors of pepper, spice and barnyard. Disappointingly short finish. Nice with walnuts.
