Tuesday, September 8, 2015 - Poured a light red, with just a hint of copper along the edges. Nose of smoked meat, forest floor, and a bit of oregano. Light bodied palate focused on savory flavors: smoke, herbs, and tree bark. Moderate acidity and seemingly low tannins, with a lingering finish. (Notes above from after approximately 1 hour decanted.)
Wine still seems young; while it is very nice now, it likely has another 10 years (at least) to improve in the cellar.
