Saturday, May 23, 2015 - Cork crumbled. Showed some signs of light past seepage.
Vin de Paille made with marsanne.
The cork popped loudly, an indication that bottle fermentation had proceeded. No significant deposit.
V:old gold
N: beautiful honeyed and floral notes typical of aged marsanne.
Richly textured and dry finish, despite labelled 15.5% abv and other reports of an exceedingly sweet wine. Solid wine.
Drink or hold, should last a while.
