Wednesday, May 19, 2010 - Medium lemon green color.

Honey, lemon, honeydew, mint, apples, grapey and weirdness coming from the 7 cepagés. Overall a very youthful nose.

On the palate the mousse is lovely creamy but a bit nervous. This has an extra high pitched tart acidity that has been balanced with neither dosage nor malolactic fermentation but rather with ripeness of the fruit although all grapes were gathered the same time. The result is an incredible freshness. Weird. Minerality reminds me of stones and chalk.

Very Lahertian style with an attack and heaviness with a light body. Very pretty but sooo young! This will not please everyone. Would be very interesting to follow the development of the solera. Length is very long with a saline finish. Outstanding weird stuff but not to be drunk as a l'apero. I drank it from Riedel Vinum Sauvignon Blanc glass.
