Thursday, February 28, 2013 - Rhone - Highlights from north & south (Portimao): Served during a Rhone lecture I held during an offsite in Portugal. When I first opened it it was closed, brash and tannic. I thought I made a mistake choosing this. So the sommelier and I decanted it immediately and to our surprise after ca 1 hour we had a soft and open wine with a kaleidoscope of beautiful fruity, toasty, earthy aromas. A very good wine with an even better future. Great value for money. 94+
