Sunday, February 12, 2017 - 14% alcohol. Slightly faded colour. The nose gives earthy aromas as well as suggestions of pot-pourri. The mouth is elegant and bears the alcohol level lightly, with more dried flowers flavours; ethereal and refined are words that come to mind. This is a feminine type of Châteauneuf, and all the better for it; if you are looking for a blockbuster, you will be disappointed. At maturity now, and unlikely to improve further. A super wine, well worth the wait in the cellar, and certainly a repeat buy.
