Friday, December 13, 2013 - Popped and poured. Lovely clear garnet-ruby color. Very forward on the nose with loads of cherry liqueur, cassis, and other bright fruit aromas rather than the typical leather and garrique. Quite spicy on the nose as well. Complete and balanced, if a bit light, on the palate, with no hard edges and a very suave mouth feel. The finish must last at least 1 minute. All in all this is a lovely, mature wine in a rather Burgundian style.
