Tuesday, July 17, 2007 - More acidic than I remember. Funked up earthy truffle plum/cherry, leather, black pepper, tobacco. Some might taste bret....I think it's funky, but clean. Intense "Rhone-ness"....has sharp citrus acidity, which I don't remember the last time. Shows some "heat" alc. as well? The flavors are wonderful...but the "feeling" is a little disjointed. Maybe it needs a few more years to mellow? I'd say hold for another 5+. Has great flavors though.
