While at a well integrated point, it still has an apple like acidity and a mouth puckery tanin with a rough-ish red fruit forward taste. While better than your standard variety restaurant wine list offerings, this wine still lacks complexity eight years in. Drink up now, or wait and see if it happens to develop better notes comes once the more earthy notes come in.
