Wednesday, September 19, 2012 - Briefly from memory - 15.6% ABV iirc. Opaque dark garnet in the glass. Somewhat primary at this point with ripe berry fruit and some inflections of dusty minerals. Full bodied with ripe fruit and a fairly heft dollop of oak on the palate. A bit heavy. A cold winter night kind of wine. I would suggest giving this some additional time or a decant. Lots of potential, but didn't really distinguish itself for me on this occasion.
