Saturday, January 19, 2013 - 456 cases. 50% destemmed with 50% new French oak. The nose is stunning with upfront cherry and pomegranate, floral elements, minerals, and a touch of stems added on day 2. The fruit is pure cherry and cranberry with an occasional flash of strawberry that wraps up with a mineral edge. Structurally, this wine has lovely acidity and a silky mouthfeel that is very appealing. The finish is long and pure with great fruit and minerals. On day 2, this wine firmed up, so I believe it has some legs left.
