Thursday, January 18, 2007 - Popped and poured. Deep red opaque with some early signs of aging - bricking edges. Interesting nose - obvious grenache fruit, but also some more delicate notes, almost burgundian. Raspberry and licorice on palate - but a little simple, though a good finish. Drinking well now and for 3-4 years I would guess. Good, but not exciting, and put in the shade by the Reserve bottle that followed.
