Friday, February 18, 2022 - Broken cork and didnt have an ah so or anything similar. Into the wine the cork crumbles went. The previous notes from a couple years ago are still true. Loads of primary fruit still going strong. Also getting some secondary/forest floor+tobacco notes as well on the very decent finish. Tannins still definitely present. My first Cadence with some good years on it and can see why these are praised for their age-ability. I've had very young WA wines that are similar to this in profile and taste. This is very much ready to drink now, though with the acid and tannins left I'd expect this to go another 10 yrs.
