Wednesday, October 14, 2015 - Tasted alongside 1985 Pichon Lalande and Gruaud Larose. More backward and robust than both. Less floral and scented than the Pichon Lalande. More earthy, smoky, leathery notes on the nose. Great grip and texture, very vibrant and fresh with lots of ripe, juicy fruit. Very well balanced and showing wonderful length. My favourite 1985 in this tasting and a great bottle, confirming the high rating from about 18 months ago. No rush. 93-95
