Saturday, October 15, 2016 - Consistent with my last note. This wine is very graceful and balanced. Plummy Cos fruit with classic earth/mineral tones and just a bit of Cos Spice. Choosing between vintages 85 is currently superior to the 86 with a much more direct approach and clear personality.

10/15/2016 7:53:00 PM - Neck fill and acquired from a NY collector that had the wines professionally stored since EP. Don't get me wrong, the 86 is beautiful. However it is more overt with ripeness and oak. The 85 really nails balance while retaining the Cos markets that you love.
