Wednesday, October 18, 1989 - With K at home at dinner. Dark ruby-purple, very attractive. Nose shows great potential, still largely closed. On the palate, very great. Extremely deep and concentrated, with blackcurrants and oak much in evidence. Incredible length, it goes on an on. Ripe, deep, and complex. Still not ready. 5-11-18-9: 93/100.
