Wednesday, November 1, 2017 - This being a 2009 vintage, I didn’t go into this wine thinking it would be one to write home about, but to my surprise this wine is better than I expected. Nice dark beet purple red color, cassis, blackberry dark fruit, dark plum, leather and tobacco notes with some substance. This is the first time I have tried the label and I will look to acquire it again.

Some of the Cab's from that year were fantastic in the beginning, only to falter down the road. The best example of this was the 2009 Baldacci Family Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Brenda's Vineyard. This wine started out like gang busters, absolutely gorgeous, only to falter with time. I am pleasantly surprised that with this 2009 Anomaly Cabernet, not over the top, but very solid, not bad at all.
