Wednesday, December 27, 2017 - Consistent with previous notes, only in a nice window now. Spring violets, candied cherries, wet earth, and whiffs of campfire on the nose. The palate is round, velvety, and sexy, bringing deep blueberries, blackberries, creme de cassis, tobacco, mushrooms, and smoked brisket into the finish, which is sturdy but smooth and refined. Drink now through 2023. Technical score: 93. Enjoyment score: 93.
