Friday, October 22, 2021 - Cork in the neck of the bottle, I think it happened during shipping, so in this case it maybe a week or so like this. Nose is actually really nice, typical old Bordeaux with tomato, grape leaf, umami, gravel, smoke. Palate is not quite as alive as it should be but it’s definitely not gross. Decent acidity, flat taste of red berries, wood and graphite. It seems like it would have been ballin’ if the cork hadn’t failed. Oh well.
