Saturday, August 31, 2013 - An enjoyable Pinot, but a bit over-oaked to my taste. Lots of raspberry, cassis, brambles, pepper, baking spice, cedar, smoke. Full bodied, med+ acidity, low tannins, medium finish. Smooth and full, but the oak leaves it a little harsh. On the second day, it was much harsher. Not at all pleasant. I will wait a year or more on my next bottle to see if it mellows any. I may be more sensitive than most to the oakiness - your mileage may vary....
