Thursday, October 25, 2012 - Pretty good for an 18 dollar bottle of wine. It show varietal charaterisitcs of p. sirah... dark, inky color, full mouth feel, big fruit and some heat despite only 13.5%. I have been a fan and consumer of Switchback Ridge P. Sirah since vintage 2000 and the S R is an amazing wine every year... but considering that those wines are 3x the price, this offering is really decent. Enjoy with lamb or big flavored meats such as grilled Kobe steaks. It also makes a good red wine sauce.
