Sunday, June 24, 2012 - Pretty purple in glass, with gorgeous aromas of black fruit and vanilla. Palate opens softly, but with flavors of blackberry pie, a touch of smoke and vanilla, and some cedar that develops into a long and pleasant finish. Sweet, soft tannins provide structure and balance in this very old-school and very good bottling. Only 13.5% ABV, and a refreshing change from in-your-face monsters, but still with classic CS flavors from great fruit. We were impressed.
