Sunday, June 16, 2013 - My hat is off. For just a pittance, we get a sophisticated blend of Rhone varietals in a classy package. Marsanne, Rousanne, Grenache Blanc, Viognier, how cool? Has super golden color. The nose is unique and original to my California trained palate. Nice combination of Old World style with California fruit forward intensity. Has close to Chardonnay type thick viscosity. Not exactly complex across the palate, we still have Rhone fruit and flavor profile that is unheard of in this price range. Just a touch of oxidation. Could use more acid crispness. Dies a little on the finish. Great job for the $$$
