Thursday, October 2, 2014 - Wow, what an experience! Some air definitely does this good, better after 30 minutes int he glass and great still on day 3. Lighter in color than I expected from an oxidative style, pale gold. Preserved lemon, almond skin, hints of apple cider, and some kind of robust floral note not normally associated with white wines (think rose hips or potpourri). Also a fair amount of granite minerality and medium to med plus acid. Extremely long and lingering finish. What a unique wine and a treat to drink! Fabulous producer and a wine that definitely speaks of the region and year, wish I had more.
