Community Tasting Note

Sunday, February 24, 2013 - As others have noted, this seems to be past its prime. Highly vegetal nose (bell pepper, celery), with a little leather and tar. Very thin on the palate, with little to no finish. Celery and bell pepper notes carry through into the flavor, with slight dark fruit. It would have been interesting to see if more fruit and tannin would have shown when this was younger; as it is at this stage, it's drinkable but not compelling.

2/27/2013 7:39:00 PM - Yes, just received it. Maybe it has hit a lull and will spring back down the road. With the way my shipments broke out, I still have two bottles waiting to be shipped, so I'm hoping that's indeed the case.
