Monday, March 12, 2012 - Nice nose, low intensity red fruit, soft and slightly rich. Also a bit of spice, possibly oak. The mouth feel is light, some bright and baked cherry fruit and toasted oak. The entry into the finish is pretty tart, showing a bit of citrus zest in the finish with an almost bitter edge. Some red fruit does outlast this but is faint. Like my 2007's from Elk Cove, I'll sit on these a few years and cross my fingers. The 2007's came around, and these should too. 85+
