Friday, December 26, 2014 - Shows quite dense and dark on the first sip. However, after a couple of hours in the decanter the palate shows some of that whole cluster lift and the wine becomes more fun to drink. This shows to me as riper than other vintages of Alpine, and I will definitely be waiting awhile before opening my next bottle.
