Sunday, June 24, 2018 - Usually with Rhys, I wonder what people mean about them tasting "Burgundian;" they always taste like a (well-made) California pinot to me. This one, though, I could see the Burgundian take. Savory elements predominated: sous-bois and herbs, accompanied by tart cherry, cranberry and lingonberry. Texture and body were very good: not at all heavy, but firm and with enough concentration to avoid being light or watery. Consistent notes the first and second day. Excellent overall.
